Oprah Announces Inspirational Memoir and Book Imprint
The Life You Want reveals never-before told stories from her own experience and shines a light on how anyone can put their life on a new trajectory.
The book, which is scheduled for publication in January, 2017, will be the lead title in her as-yet-unnamed book imprint, which is expected to include several non-fiction titles per year, chosen personally by Oprah.
The Life You Want, and the imprint titles, will be published by Flatiron Books, a division of Macmillan US. Bob Miller, president and publisher of Flatiron Books, said, "We're deeply honored to publish The Life You Want, which is such a remarkable combination of Oprah's life story and the lessons we can all draw from it for our personal growth. We're also thrilled to give a home to Oprah's imprint titles. We all know how extraordinary Oprah's instincts are when it comes to choosing books, instincts borne of her lifelong love of reading and the power of the written word."
Pan Macmillan in the UK, Australia, South Africa and India are absolutely thrilled to be joining forces with Bob Miller at Flatiron Books to publish the long-awaited memoir by one of the world's truly iconic superstars. Anthony Forbes Watson, MD at Pan Macmillan, said, "Oprah is astonishing. There is no other word for her. The Life You Want will be a landmark publishing event. Everyone at Pan Macmillan is in awe of what Oprah has achieved in her life, and this memoir and guide promises to be an inspiration around the world."
Robin Harvie, Non Fiction Publisher, will publish The Life You Want simultaneously in January, 2017.
Oprah Winfrey is represented by Jennifer Rudolph Walsh of WME, who negotiated on her behalf.
