John and Aventer on Raising a Black Son

John and Aventer air their concerns about how difficult it is to raise black children, especially boys, at a time in America of high racial tension as well as anger and frustration toward law enforcement. "We're raising a black son where, in this society, overpolicing is a problem," John says.

Here, John and Aventer discuss why it's important to help their son find the right balance between respecting authority and being wary of those individuals that might abuse their authority.
