Will Jeffery Turn on Candace?

Candace believes she's in the clear for Quincy's murder, but the district attorney has one last card to play: Jeffery. To take Candace down, the DA needs him to testify against her. But Jeffery would never turn on Candace...would he? The DA decides to test the waters by putting them in an interrogation room together.

Jeffery sits down, unsure of what's going on. Candace tells him that the DA is playing games, and reminds him that every word they say is being recorded. Ignoring Candace's cues to keep quiet, Jeffery begins asking questions: "Can you believe my mother turned me in?"

"Yes, I can," Candace says. "I don't understand why you're so shocked, especially since you didn't do anything."

"I wonder why she didn't turn you in," Jeffery says.

"Because I didn't do anything."

Candace may not be talking, but Jeffery knows that some kind of deal was made behind his back. "I'll find out what you two are up to," he tells her. "Please don't you let me find out that you two are against me."

Candace tells Jeffery that jail is making him paranoid and that she's not talking to him. Fed up with Candace calling all the shots, Jeffery slam his hands onto the table and calls for an officer. "Well, okay," he says. "Then maybe I'll talk."

"I need you to be quiet," Candace says angrily.

"Yeah, you always do," Jeffery says. "You want to control me, and so does my mother. But we will see, won't we? We will see."
