When viewers first met Katheryn Cryer on The Haves and the Have Nots, there wasn't a kind word to be said about the powerful matriarch who oozed old money. As time has gone on, however, actress Renée Lawless says her character on the show has evolved.

"We saw the shell in the beginning and now we're seeing more of her core," Renée says.
