John Schneider Says New Season Will "Surprise and Shock" Viewers

John Schneider plays the role of Jim Cryer on The Haves and the Have Nots, a wealthy judge who runs the city of Savannah, Georgia. His lust for power, however, gets the better of him—and in recent seasons, Jim's world has begun to crumble.

"Jim has gotten cut down a peg every season," John says. "But he's the only character I know, since J.R. Ewing, who could be in jail and still feel as if he is the master of his own destiny, so I'm loving every minute of it."

While Jim may be down, don't count him out just yet. John hints that his character will be back with a vengeance and many surprises are in store for viewers.

"This coming season of The Haves and the Have Nots is about trying to come to grips with the fact that you cannot control everything," he says. "I can't wait for people to see what's coming up. It will surprise and shock you, just as it surprised and shocked us."
