Salma Hayek: Don't Underestimate Our Power to Effect Change

Oscar®-nominated actress Salma Hayek Pinault, who joined many other women in speaking out against sexual harassment in Hollywood, discusses why we shouldn't underestimate the cumulative impact of our efforts with the #MeToo movement, even if change doesn't happen overnight.

"I think that sometimes we underestimate our efforts—everybody's efforts—and the power that it has for change," Salma says. "The only reason that this is working right now—it's not only because the women spoke out, but it's also because everybody listened. And I think that what happens is that we start making changes and we don't see the results, and we think the change is not happening. Humans are slow to change."
