Peabody- and Emmy-winning journalist, producer, and author Maria Shriver opens up to Oprah about what it was like growing up the daughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver. "It was awesome because she was awesome," Maria says. "And also it was challenging because she was a huge force."

Maria remembers her mother as a unique and tough woman who believed everyone could change the world. "I knew, to get her attention, I had to work, perform, do well and meet her expectations," Maria says.
