Paul Williams is a songwriting legend and the man behind hits such as Barbra Streisand's "Evergreen" and Kermit the Frog's beloved classic "Rainbow Connection." At the height of his fame, Paul says, an addiction to alcohol and drugs nearly destroyed him. Paul says he lost a decade to addiction, and it took hitting bottom for him to discover the real happiness he feels today.

Looking back at the moment he hit rock bottom, Paul gets emotional. "I did an event in Oklahoma City, where I had a full-tilt psychotic meltdown. I mean, I thought I was being beaten up by a monster. I'd been up maybe two or three nights without sleep," he says. "They had to cancel a show. I went back to L.A., and I drank for two more weeks. And in a blackout, I called a doctor."

So what made him finally reach out for help? Paul struggles not to cry as he reveals the answer. Find out why he believes a concert promoter and a prayer circle helped get him on the path to health and happiness.
