From the time he was in high school, basketball was everything for Jay Williams. In June 2003, just after finishing his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls, Jay got into a motorcycle accident that prematurely ended his playing career. Afterward, Jay says, he struggled to sort out his life off the court. "I was lost. Basketball had defined me. My accident had defined me. And I had no idea what I wanted to do," he says. "I don't think it was until later, a couple of years later, until I started going to counseling, started to try to go to church. I put my faith into something bigger." In the video above, Jay reflects on one of the darkest moments of his recovery.
