Nova Calls Out a Conspiracy Theory

Nova accompanies her new boyfriend, Dr. Robert DuBois, to a dinner party attended by some of the South's most influential thinkers and wealthiest elite. One of the guests is Timothy North, a contributing editor at The Real American, a neoconservative publication.

During dinner, Robert entertains Timothy's controversial arguments. Nova does not. She calls Timothy out for propagating a "racist conspiracy theory" and using troubling code words for immigrants and communities of color. Finally, after reaching her limit, a disgusted Nova excuses herself from the table—leaving her date in an awkward position.
