How Ava DuVernay Chose Her All-Women Directing Team

She calls it the #InclusiveCrew. When Ava DuVernay embarked on creating Queen Sugar, an adaptation of Natalie Baszile's eponymous book, for the Oprah Winfrey Network, she decided to enlist an all-female directorial team. Additionally, Ava says she tried to foster inclusiveness across all departments, which became a big part of the Queen Sugar story. Here, she explains how it all came together.
