In 1996, "Beloved" author and Nobel Laureate Toni Morrison revealed to Oprah the turning point on her journey to becoming a legendary writer. "I decided to write down...what I thought if I didn't do I'd die. And there were two things, only two...'1. Mother my children, 2. Write books.'"
