Donald Trump, one of America's most recognizable entrepreneurs, made his fortune as a real estate developer before becoming a television personality on the reality show The Apprentice. In 2015, Trump launched his campaign as a Republican candidate in the 2016 presidential election.

Back in 2004, Trump appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where viewers experienced a day in the life of the successful real estate magnate. Although Trump's personal lifestyle was expectedly lavish, after the show, Oprah was curious to learn about some of the less-pleasant realities of his business.

"Do you remember the first time you had to fire somebody, Donald?" she asked Trump.

Watch as he recounts his experiences with laying off employees and describes the uncomfortable reality of having to let good people go. Plus, find out the kind of people "the Donald" loves to fire—and then "go after ... afterwards."
