Aired on 10/11/2006 | CC
In 2006, Oprah met the world's first female space tourist, Anousheh Ansari. Ever since childhood, Anousheh said, she had had big dreams of going up into space. So, once she got the opportunity, she didn't hesitate, admitting to Oprah that she was willing to give up her life to accomplish it. "If they told me it was a one-way ticket, I would still take the trip," she said.

Here, Anousheh describes what it felt like to orbit Earth every 90 minutes—and seeing 32 sunsets a day. Plus, she reveals that space actually smells like a burnt cookie.
