In 2003, film star and California gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show for the political interview everyone was waiting to see. In the run-up to Election Day, Oprah wanted to know how Arnold was always capable of staying focused in the face of negative press and criticism.

"First of all, everyone cares, and everyone wants people to talk good about them," Arnold said. He then acknowledged the reality that there will always be people criticizing and judging.
