Given Oprah's meteoric success and status as an entertainment icon, this seems funny: In high school, she wasn't voted Most Likely to Succeed.

In an exclusive postshow segment of The Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah revealed that her high school peers voted her Most Popular instead. Still, her popularity was no small feat in a school that was in its first year of desegregation and still 80 percent white.
