At the height of its popularity, The Oprah Winfrey Show received an average of 4,000 letters per week. The volume was so great Oprah had to hire a team devoted to opening and sorting the mail.

Here, in this vintage Oprah Show clip, we're led into the closet where Oprah stores the paintings, dolls and miniature outhouses that fans sent her over the first five years of the show.
