In 2008, Oprah's viewers were introduced to Nancy Yi Fan, one of the world's smartest kids. At age 14, she was already a best-selling author making headlines around the globe.

Looking for some writing advice, Nancy emailed her manuscript to different publishers she found online. A few weeks later, her debut novel, Swordbird, was accepted for publication. Shortly thereafter, it flew to the top of The New York Times' best-seller list, becoming a global favorite.
