When Carrie Fisher was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder in her 20s, she didn't believe the doctor. At the time, Carrie joked with Oprah in her 2011 Oprah Show interview, she thought that people who had bipolar disorder were "nuts" rather than seeing it as something that could happen to anybody. In the above video, Carrie explains what she had to do before she could finally accept being bipolar.
