Bruce Willis on Alan Rickman and Doing His Own Stunts in Die Hard

In 1988, award-winning actor Bruce Willis went on The Oprah Winfrey Show to promote the soon-to-be-released movie Die Hard, the blockbuster that would launch the actor's career as an action star. Bruce gave Oprah the behind-the-scenes scoop on what is was like on the set of the now-iconic film.

One of the things Oprah loved most about the movie was the standout performance by Alan Rickman as the villain, Hans Gruber. Bruce had to agree, saying, "He's like one of the best villains ever. He's just so good."

Bruce went on describe the challenges of working on the groundbreaking film. "This part was a lot harder than just about anything I've done for a lot of reasons," Bruce said. "If you saw the film, they really kind of beat me up in this thing. It's a very physical part."
