Amy Fisher on Joey Buttafuoco: "He Preyed Upon My Vulnerabilities"

CC
Before becoming known as the Long Island Lolita for shooting her older lover's wife in 1992, Amy Fisher was a confused and impressionable 17-year-old girl. Amy served seven years in prison for her crimes. During that time, she came to realize many hard truths that she was unable to see before.

In 2004, she came on The Oprah Winfrey Show to talk about the events that led to the shooting of Mary Jo Buttafuoco that fateful day.

It took Amy a long time to finally take responsibility for her actions and to realize that her love affair with Joey had been a sham from the very beginning. Amy recounts how her young age, a broken home and lack of self-esteem made her the ideal prey for a sexual predator like Joey Buttafuoco.
