Before John Legend became one of the biggest names in music, he was John Stephens, a boy born into a churchgoing, gospel-singing family just outside of Springfield, Ohio. John was considered a prodigy when he started high school at age 12, and after graduating as class salutatorian at age 16, he enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout his childhood and adolescence, this young scholar was also known for his musical talent. Watch as John shares how fame has been relatively kind to him.
