The New York City Fire Museum houses the largest indoor memorial to the firefighters who lost their lives in 9/11.

An original sheet in Harper's Weekly celebrating the official formation of the Metropolitan Fire Department, it's name in 1866 just prior to its official re-naming in 1870 to Fire Department City of New York, FDNY.

An Indoor Memorial to 9/11
The display, completed in 2002, is the largest indoor memorial to the firefighters of 9/11, and the only indoor memorial housed in New York City.
