Every day across the country, Iyanla says, "people wake up feeling trapped"—be it in a job, a relationship, a situation or even inside their own mind. Iyanla's two guests this week, Lauren and Canitra, are both sex workers who feel trapped in the industry that puts food on the table for their children. But they are desperate to make a change.

"Over the years, it's been my main source of income," says Lauren, 27. "It's something that I don't want to do. It's taken a toll on me physically and mentally."

Canitra, 28, is from a small town, which she says leaves her with few alternatives. "You can't get a job, so you had to resort to other stuff," she adds, tears rolling down her face. "You might not want to, but it is what it is."
