Iyanla travels to Georgia to help Bria, a 21-year-old woman who's desperate to get help for her out-of-control family. Bria says she's becoming more and more afraid of her mother, Trivena, and her threats and violent behavior—and Bria isn't afraid to fight back. To make matters worse, Bria has grown up watching her mother fight her mother.

"A lot of times I see my grandma in my mom," Bria says. "Because I've seen them argue before. I remember my mom got into it with my grandma, and my grandma pulled a knife out on her."

Iyanla sits down with Bria to better understand this three-generation cycle of violence. Watch the above video as Bria explains a painful childhood beating, and how it still hurts her today.
