Male Survivors of Rape Get Advice from a Survivor Who's Healed

Season 4 Episode 413
Aired on 10/07/2017 | CC tv-14
During her work with five male survivors of childhood rape, Iyanla introduces a sixth man who has been through the same experience, done his work and found healing. Ray Dotch, a former producer for The Oprah Winfrey Show, shares his story with the men in hopes of helping them regain their power. Ultimately, Ray says, there's only one way to do so: Lean fully into the pain and stand in your truth.

"When you go all the way there and stay there until you're done, you don't have to go there anymore," he tells the other men. "It makes more sense to open yourself up and let yourself go completely there so that then you don't have to do it anymore."
