Iyanla's work with Jay, a man who fathered 34 children with 17 women, has sparked a national discussion about men having children without accepting responsibility. During a follow-up show, Iyanla met John and his wife, Jamie. John has 11 children with seven different women.

Now, Iyanla brings all seven mothers together to continue the healing, including LaShawnda, the mother of John's deceased son, Divonte. During their discussion of John's failures as a father, LaShawnda becomes visibly upset. "I'm like a thousand—a million—women out here," she says. "We work every day to take care of these kids. We do everything we have to do for these kids, and these men just skate."

"And we lay down with men," Iyanla says. "And we don't protect ourselves. ... I don't want a badge of courage for the mistakes that I've made."
