For the 12 years she's been a sex worker, 27-year-old Lauren has been numb to the pain of a life of prostitution and feels trapped. She may have turned to Iyanla for help in healing and breaking free from the profession, but after the first day of working with the life coach, Lauren wants to walk away from the entire process.

Iyanla, however, will not let Lauren quit so easily. "What if you're just scared that you're starting to feel?" she says. "Do you think that, of the thousands and thousands of people that have written me, that maybe God picked you for a reason?"

"Yeah," Lauren says, nodding.

"So, is this what you do in the middle of God's work? You walk out?" Iyanla asks.

After a pause, Lauren responds. "No."
