Louise on Marcie: "She Has Found an Ally in Me"

In the beginning, Louise was sure that Marcie was the one responsible for the marital problems between her and Randal. Now that Louise knows that it was, in fact, Randal who first cheated on Marcie, she has some words of wisdom for her philandering son.

"Son, you planted an apple tree in your backyard, and now you're mad because apples have started to grow on it," she tells Randal, who is upset that Marcie had sex with Brad as retribution. "You reap what you sow," his mother explains.

Louise suffered her own cheating husband, and now she has nothing but sympathy for her devastated daughter-in-law.
