When Sahala Smith and her husband, Jeremiah, bought their starter home, the plan was simple: Fix it up quick, then move into something bigger once they started having children. However, when the housing market crashed, that plan fell apart.

Thirteen years and three kids later, the Smith family is still trying to make the most of their small space, which doubles as a home-school classroom for the children. It's been crowded and chaotic, but the Home Made Simple team is here to transform the area with a stylized design that finally separates the living room, dining room and school room.
