Pin up your favorite family photos with clothespins to create a cottage-cozy vibe.

Materials
  • Recycled 20x24 framed mirror or image
  • Pliers
  • Gloves
  • Roll of chicken wire (can get at any home improvement store)
  • Snips
  • Staple gun
  • Silver spray paint
  • Safety mask
  • Dry rag
  • Pack of clothespins
  • Family photos

    Directions

To separate the frame from the mirror, lay the mirror face down on a flat surface. Use the pliers to bend back the staples located behind the frame. Lift the cardboard and remove the image and clear the frame.

Next, wearing gloves, unroll the chicken wire and spread it across the back of the frame. Snip the wire to the size of the frame.

Use the staple gun to staple the chicken wire along all sides of the frame. While stapling, make sure to keep the wire taut.

Next, turn the frame over, spray paint in light mists, and use the dry rag to quickly smooth out the paint before it dries. This helps the paint settle into the grooves, and gives it an antique look.

Attach the photos with clothespins and arrange on the chicken wire as desired.
