Inside the Greenleaf Season 3 Finale

Season 3 Episode 313
CC
Greenleaf show creator Craig Wright and executive producer Kriss Turner Towner discuss the Season 3 finale, "The New Life." Craig and Kriss kick off their conversation by addressing the theme of forgiveness in the episode. "When Mae tells Grace near the end of the episode, 'I'm ready to be here for you in a new way,' they're saying, like, 'Let's move on,'" Craig says. "And now, at the end of this episode, we're set up for that."

Craig adds that the Greenleaf family coming together at the end of the season prepares them to take on new challenges, like facing Connie and the Deacon board as well as Harmony and Hope Ministries. "I think it could be potentially really exciting to see the family working as a unit against another bad guy, who in this case is played by Beau Bridges."

Craig and Kriss then jump into what Grace and the Greenleaf family will have to face as Calvary comes under the control of Harmony and Hope Ministries. "With Harmony and Hope, I think it's going to be really cool to see Grace go up against this guy who thinks he's so well-meaning, and thinks he understands everything about everything, and have Grace be able to show him, like, 'You don't understand us,'" Craig explains. "Grace is going to marshal the forces of the family to wrest the church back from Harmony and Hope, because their heart is not in the right place."

"Definitely a business," Kriss adds.

Finally, Craig and Kriss share their gratitude for being able to work on the series. "I feel super blessed to be working on this show. Thanks for coming on board," Craig says to Kriss.

"Thank you for having me," Kriss replies. "Woo, I love those Greenleafs."
