  • 4 well-ripened plantains
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • Directions
    Preheat oven to 400°. Butter a small baking dish. Peel the plantains. If they are stubborn and won???t peel, cut the end with a knife and try to peel again. Cut the plantains into 1-inch slices. Place the plantain slices in the baking dish and dot with butter.

    In a small bowl, mix together the milk and sugar and pour the mixture over the plantains. Bake the plantains for 30 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and caramelized. Serve plantains while still hot.
