Not long after Jai and Rebecca's platonic friendship became a full-on romance, the two women were fully committed to spending their lives together. But it wasn't until the subject of having children came up that Jai and Rebecca began to talk about making their commitment official.

"We didn't want our children to, you know, live with 'life partners.' Like, we wanted them to know that we were committed to each other, married. And brought them into the world on purpose," Rebecca explains. "Getting married doesn't change how much you love someone, but I think it changes the kind of situation that your house is essentially built upon."
