Taj George Opens Up About Her Postpartum Depression

Season 2 Episode 204
Aired on 06/02/2018 | CC
When entertainer Taj George, wife of former NFL player Eddie George, gave birth to the couple's beautiful, healthy baby boy in 2005, she couldn't shake the sense that "something was wrong" inside herself. Feeling unprepared, hormonal, alone, sleep-deprived and disconnected from her son, Taj struggled as a new mother.

"While he's crying, I'm crying," she says. "When he slept, I could not sleep. So, I'm up 24 hours a day, and this baby is just screaming and hollering. I'm already emotional. My hormones are all over the place. I couldn't get a grip on it."

Feeling desperate, Taj emailed her sister a cry for help. "I was like, 'My baby don't like me, and I don't like him.'"
