Jane's daughter, Vanessa Vadim, is born in 1968 in Paris. A few months later, mother and daughter travel to Le Havre, France.

In the '70s, Jane becomes known for her activism and protest of the Vietnam War, earning her the nickname "Hanoi Jane." In 1972, she meets with Vice Prime Minister of the North Vietnam Government, Nguyen Duh Trinh, in Hanoi.

Jane launches her "Jane Fonda Workout" video, which inspires millions. It sells more than 17 million copies and is still the highest-selling exercise video of all time.
