The Live Your Best Life Weekend to celebrate
O Magazine's 10th Anniversary
kicked off with welcome sessions at
New York City's Gotham Hall.
All of the 5,500 weekend attendees—some of whom came from as far away as
Ecuador Australia, and Hong Kong—register at Gotham Hall in New York City.
During his Q&A session at the Javits Center, O magazine's creative director Adam
Glassman told the crowd, "The best accessory you can wear is confidence."
The Lifeshop experts at the Javits Center include (from left): Nate Berkus, Peter Walsh,
Elizabeth Gilbert, Suze Orman, Martha Beck, Donna Brazile, and Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Two attendees show off the tote bags with gifts from sponsors, including a T-shirt,
makeup bag, and gift card.
In between the workshops, attendees could watch Gayle King tape her radio show, meet
the O magazine editors who cast the Real Women photo shoots, try out a Wii
system, get a makeover, and more.
During the weekend, L'Oréal provided 5,961 makeovers to attendees, including this one.
Saturday night: The attendees walk the red carpet before a special evening with
Oprah at Radio City Music Hall.
More than 15,000 people participated in the Sunday Mother's Day walk through Manhattan,
and they raised over $500,000 for charity.
Bette Midler, founder of New York Restoration Project; Elizabeth Banks, spokesperson for
L'Oréal Paris Ovarian Cancer Research Fund; and Jennifer Hudson, spokesperson for
Weight Watchers, warm up for the two-mile benefit walk.
Jennifer Hudson spends the morning of her first Mother's Day as a mom with Mary J. Blige
and Gayle King.
It was fre-e-e-e-zing on Sunday morning, but Dr. Oz shows off his fit physique as the benefit walk begins.
