and always fast on his feet, David Letterman may seem prickly on the outside, but peel away those layers and you'll find a very tender heart and a lovely man. Guesting on his show was both nerve-racking and thrilling for me, and I'll be watching when he says goodbye on May 20.

Morgan Freeman and Diane Keaton are a husband and wife who have made a home and coaxed their dog through old age in a large Brooklyn apartment, but now they can't help wondering whether it's time to downsize. Their chemistry is palpable and their affection is deep, and this little gem of a movie reminds us to really appreciate what we have.
I've found a future book club author...
14-year-old Jacobi Copeland (back row, second from right), a student at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, which gives kids the drive to thrive. When Jacobi and his classmates came to O for a visit and a Skype session with Oprah, he said: "I've seen the power of words...how they can inspire people to do amazing things...and keep them hopeful no matter what stands in their way."
