How to Do the 'Do
"I often give Oprah this 'demi-up' for parties. It's elegant, classic, flatters any face shape—and can easily be done at home."

Step 1
Section off the top half of your hair—everything above your ears.

Step 2
Hold the section up high and lightly tease the underside with a brush or a comb to give it height.

Step 3
Mist the teased locks with hairspray and smooth into place atop your head; secure at your mid to lower crown with a jeweled comb or rhinestone pins to add festive sparkle.
Optional: For a more dramatic effect, use a curling iron to create a cascade of soft waves or curls in the bottom section of your hair.
