Directions
Paint the canvas your base color with the latex paint. Let the paint dry.
Cut an 8-inch square in side of large cardboard box with a utility knife.
Tape up all sides of the box.
Cut a rectangle in the bottom of the box large enough to fit a small desk-lamp inside.
Cut open a clear plastic bag so that it is a single plastic sheet.
Carefully trace over the photograph with a marker onto the plastic sheet.
Tape the plastic sheet with the drawing on it over the 8” opening, so that the drawing is centered in the square.
Insert a small desk lamp into opening on bottom of box with the lamp facing the square opening. Position the box and canvas directly across from each other, with the square opening facing the canvas.
Turn the lamp on and project the image onto the paint canvas.
Trace the image onto the canvas with a pencil.
Once your entire design is traced, draw over the pencil lines with paint markers, and fill in any areas that you need to.
