How to Make Your Own Cleaning Products
  • Bathroom sinks: Spray heated white vinegar, then sprinkle Borax and scrub.
  • Chrome fixtures: Polish chrome with a dryer fabric softener sheet.
  • Hairspray residue: Mix two parts water, one part liquid fabric softener, and spray to wash residue away.
  • Toilets: Simply drop a denture-cleaning tablet in the toilet bowl.
  • Windows: Use a solution of 50 percent rubbing alcohol and 50 percent water in a spray bottle (use a blackboard eraser to eliminate streaks!).
  • Wood furniture: Boil one quart of water and pour over two tea bags. Let the mixture come to room temperature. Wash the furniture and buff dry. The furniture polish residue will be gone and it will shine!
