Over the past year, there has been a surge of media attention focused on the notion that American couples are not having sex. According to the results of a national survey published in The Journal of the American Medical Association, 43 percent of all women 18 to 59 years old suffer from some type of sexual dysfunction: a lack of desire for sex, problems getting excited or aroused, or an inability to achieve orgasm.
