On Valentine's Day, decorate a store-bought cheesecake with this stunning spiral of raspberry hearts.


  • 3/4 cup frozen raspberries
  • 2 Tbsp. orange juice
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1½ Tbsp. lemon curd
  • 3/4 cup sour cream


In a saucepan, bring frozen raspberries, orange juice and sugar to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring, until thick but not jamlike, 10 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer (scrape bottom with a spatula) into a bowl. Refrigerate until chilled.

In a bowl, fold lemon curd into sour cream; spread over a 9" cheesecake. Transfer raspberry sauce to a pastry bag with a small opening. Dot sauce (each dot smaller than a chocolate chip) in a spiral. Starting at the outermost edge, drag a toothpick through the center of each dot without stopping. Serve immediately.
