The Treats with a Trick
If there's one big trend among this year's crop of trick-or-treat offerings, it's, well, trickery. There are Sour Patch Kids Tricksters, which look nothing like they taste (for example, a red one might just taste like lemon or lime instead of cherry). Hi-Chew has thrown a top-secret flavor into its Sweet and Sour Mystery Mix bag of fruit chews, along with fan favorites sour grapefruit, sour lemon and green apple. And Dylan's Candy Bar joins the fun with its Boo-gie Nights Popcorn, which, despite appearances, is flavored with green apple (and not anything more ghastly).

2 New Ways to Enjoy a Much-Loved Duo
Going by this survey of America's favorite Halloween candy, peanut butter with chocolate is among trick-or-treaters' most sought-after flavor combinations. Good news for enthusiasts of the combo: There's a whole world out there beyond the usual cups and crunchy, candy-shelled pieces. Look out for Reese's Peanut Butter Spooky! Eyeballs (see what we did there?), which are covered in foil; as well as White Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkin, candy filled with smooth peanut butter and coated with white crème.

The Sweet Spin on the Pumpkin Spice Latte
Fall's "it" flavor knows no bounds (cough drops, dairy-free cheesecake and peanut butter have all been pumpkin-spiced this year). Candy is a natural for the sweet and robust taste, spotted in Godiva's foil-wrapped Pumpkin Spice Truffle Flight, Peeps Delights Pumpkin Spice Latte Flavored Marshmallow Dipped in Decadent White Fudge and M&M's newest offering: White Pumpkin Pie.

The Ones You Love, All Dressed Up
Fear not, traditionalists: The classics have not gone anywhere, though some of them have gotten decked out for the haunted holiday. The Skittles brand has renamed some of its most popular flavors for its Cauldron Skittles line (hello, lurking lemon and petrified pear). The Cadbury brand has also transformed its mini chocolate balls—known for their pastel spring palette—in fall colors, offering Harvest Mix chocolates in red, orange and yellow. Finally, candy-corn maker Brach's is debuting Vampire Teeth and Witches Teeth Candy Corn; they look like the originals except they're pink (strawberry-flavored) and green (apple-flavored).
