Maple Millet and Oats Recipe

Since millet can be slightly chalky, Jennifer Iserloh, founder of Skinny Chef Natural Foods, combines it with oats to create a creamier cereal.
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 cup millet
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 4 cups water
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. almonds
- 1 Tbsp. diced dried apricots
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
Directions
In a medium saucepan, bring the millet, old-fashioned oats, water and salt to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 35 minutes, stirring often. Top with almonds, diced dried apricots and maple syrup.
