Serves one


  • Mint leaves
  • 1/2 to 3/4 ounce honey syrup, to taste (equal parts honey and water, heated on stove top or in microwave until combined)
  • 3/4 to 1 ounce lemon juice, to taste
  • 1/4 ounce ginger liqueur
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • Candied ginger, for garnish

  • Directions

    Place 8 to 10 mint leaves in a julep cup.

    Add honey syrup and lemon juice. Muddle gently to release oils. Add ginger liqueur and bourbon.

    Fill cup with crushed ice. Garnish with large bouquet of mint leaves and candied ginger.
