Nonwimpy Kale Chips
Think you don't like kale chips? Maybe that's because the ones you've tried haven't been crunchy enough. Wright has a trick for retaining that crispness: She dresses hers up with a layer of chia, hemp and sesame seeds. The coating helps the chips stay extra crunchy, and adds some toasty flavor, too. And she suggests using lacinato or other flat kale, because those varieties dry out more easily and therefore crisp much faster.
