Fig and Walnut Crumble Recipe

Serves 6
Ingredients
For the crumble:3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unrefined cane sugar
3/4 cup walnut halves, roughly chopped
Scant 1/2 cup cold salted butter, cubed
For the filling: 1 3/4 pounds figs
2 1/2 Tbsp. honey
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°. Rinse and halve the figs.
Put the flour, sugar, walnuts and butter into a bowl. Rub the butter into the other ingredients rapidly with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Chill.
Arrange the figs in a gratin dish, drizzle with honey and sprinkle with the crumble. Bake in the oven for approximately 40 minutes, until the crumble is golden.
