Chef Spike Mendelsohn, owner of Good Stuff Eatery in Washington, D.C, shares his recipe for the Creamsicle Shake, a sweet treat he created for a 2009 inaugural bash.
Servings: Serves 4
  • 1 can orange cream soda
  • 1 cup orange sherbet
  • 2 cups creamy vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 orange
  • Directions
    Take 1 orange and cut the rind in a circle around the contours of the orange.

    You should have at least 4 little swirls of orange rind pieces. Place aside.

    Blend all ingredients together in a blender. Mix for 5 minutes or until well blended.

    Pour into tall glass and top with 1 orange rind. Whipped cream topping is optional.
