Cube a Watermelon Without Breaking a Sweat

It can be difficult to turn this refreshing fruit into perfect cubes for skewers or salads. Yet
this technique we spotted on Huffington Post makes it ridiculously simple. The key is to use the rind to your advantage; the peel actually ends up doing a lot of the work for you if you keep it largely in tact while you cube the fruit inside. Seeing this move in action is the best way to understand it, but the general idea is to make two long slices down each side of the melon without cutting all the way through. Then, as you would do when eating a halved grapefruit, use a knife to separate the flesh from the rind. Make crisscross cuts through the entire center, tip the melon and perfect cubes will fall right out.
